How to connect your accounts

Bubo connects to Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts via Facebook's official API. Here's everything you need to know before you connect.

Facebook Pages
✓ What works
  • • Facebook Pages you admin
  • • Text posts, photo posts, video posts
  • • Multi-image posts
  • • Post now or schedule ahead
✗ What doesn't work
  • • Personal Facebook profiles (Facebook's API restriction — not a Bubo limitation)
  • • Pages where you're not an Admin
Don't see your page? Make sure you're logging in with the Facebook account that has Admin access to the page. Editor or Moderator roles may not appear.
Instagram
✓ What works
  • • Instagram Business or Creator accounts
  • • Photo posts, video posts, carousels
  • • Must be linked to a Facebook Page
✗ What doesn't work
  • • Personal Instagram accounts
  • • Instagram accounts not linked to a Facebook Page
How to set up your Instagram for Bubo:
  1. Go to Instagram → Settings → Account
  2. Tap "Switch to Professional Account" → choose Creator or Business
  3. Connect it to your Facebook Page — go to Meta Business Suite → Settings → Instagram accounts, or in the Facebook Page settings under "Instagram"
  4. Come back to Bubo and click "Connect Account" — your Instagram will appear
Connecting in Bubo
  1. Log in to Bubo and go to your Dashboard
  2. Click Settings → Accounts then + Connect
  3. Click Connect Facebook and log in with your Facebook account
  4. Approve the requested permissions — Bubo only asks for what it needs to post on your behalf
  5. Select which pages and Instagram accounts to add
  6. Click Connect Selected — you're done!
🔒 Privacy note
Bubo only stores the access tokens Facebook provides — it never sees your Facebook password. You can revoke Bubo's access at any time from your Facebook App Settings. We don't read your messages, contacts, or personal data.
